All of the images on this website (and many more) are available to add to your collection as Fine Art Prints. They are also available for licensed use. COLLECTING MY FINE ART PRINTS
The prints are all hand made to the highest specifications and fully matted. Black and white images are printed on fiber paper, a heavier than usual photographic paper that delivers a unique depth and contrast to the image. Color prints are produced directly from transparencies to retain the color saturation, or, occasionally from color negative film. All of the materials used are of museum archival quality to ensure you can enjoy the photograph for years to come.
THE SELECTION
I have chosen each of the photographs on display here to try and evoke a connection with you. I do hope that you enjoy looking at this selection of my work and that you return often to view your favorites and catch the new photographs that will be added frequently. I encourage you to use the information on the contact page to let me know what works and what doesn’t.
THE IMAGES
I specialize in both rural and urban scenes. I passionately believe that we all need to increase our awareness of our surroundings in order to gain the maximum appreciation from them. There is goodness and beauty, both natural and man made, all around us and if, through my photographs, I am able to provoke heightened awareness within you then I have achieved my mission. I hope that as you browse through my work you will recognize that I am extremely comfortable in both black and white and color media. I have resisted providing commentary on my photographs as I believe that a successful photograph will connect with you, somehow touch a nerve and stimulate you, possibly in different ways overtime. I would not wish to impair this communication with distracting information.
THE PHOTOGRAPHER
I have been a serious, self-taught, photographer for over thirty years in the popular 35mm format, but some years ago converted to medium format photography. My work is now almost entirely taken on 6 x 6 negatives and transparencies. I started photography in black and white with a Brownie Box camera and have gone full circle and returned to the same film type using Hasselblad equipment. This produces a quality negative or transparency which let me produce sharper, clearer and larger prints for your enjoyment.
